How to Get to Shibden Hall By Public Transport & Car

Now that you’ve seen Shibden Hall on TV in the BBC/HBO drama Gentleman Jack, you’re going to want to visit! Here’s information on getting to Shibden Hall, opening times and admission prices.

 

By Public Transport

There are frequent buses every 15 minutes or better from Monday to Saturday passing Shibden Hall, between Halifax and Bradford, Halifax and Todmorden/Burnley and Halifax and Brighouse, with other regular and less frequent services throughout the week.

These are some of the bus services that pass Shibden Hall:

Frequent Service: 548, 549, 592

Regular Service: 255, 508, 533, 534, 590, 681

Infrequent Service: 226, 682,

By Car

The main entrance to Shibden Estate is off the A58 Godley Lane, with large car parks next to the lake and Mereside Cafe. From the car park there is an up-hill walk to Shibden Hall.

Limited car parking is available off Shibden Hall Road with a short walk down to the Hall.

Disabled parking is available for Blue Badge holders next to the Hall, accessed from Shibden Hall Road. Please ring the bell on the right as you enter the courtyard for level access to the Hall – a member of staff will come and meet you and show you the way in.

All car parks require parking tickets to be purchased.

Concession £5.00 (Children 5 – 16 years / Senior Citizens /Passport to Leisure)

Family ticket (2 adults and 2 children): £21.00.
