Easter 2026 is bringing a burst of springtime magic to Calderdale, with egg-citing (stop groaning, we had to…) family-friendly events for you to enjoy.

There are hands-on experiences for the kids with crafting workshops at Bankfield Museum, stories and surprises at Eureka! The National Children’s Museum and fun Easter Trails in Brighouse , at  Shibden Hall , The Woolshops Shopping Centre and and at the Piece Hall Halifax.

You’ll find treats both sweet, savoury and crafty at the Piece Hall’s Easter Markets. Or indulge in a delicious Easter-themed afternoon tea at the award-winning and historic Holdsworth House Hotel, Spa & Restaurant (available Friday 3^rd to Monday 6^th April).

You can enjoy one of the few remaining Pace Egg Plays still performed in the country at Weaver’s Square, Heptonstall on Good Friday and Duckmania comes to Hebden Bridge for the town’s annual Duck Race on Easter Monday.

We plan to open Wainhouse Tower on Good Friday and Easter Monday and tickets are on sale now through the VisitCalderdale Eventbrite page.

There’s also lots of fun to be had at the Anne Lister Festival, running from 30th March to 6th April.
