The West Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) forms part of Visit England’s national portfolio of LVEPs and is recognised as the official body for the region’s Visitor Economy.
The LVEP provides strong local leadership and governance across all of our destinations in West Yorkshire. Through the collaboration of Visit Bradford, Visit Calderdale, Kirklees Council, Visit Leeds, Experience Wakefield and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority; the West Yorkshire LVEP brings together the West Yorkshire Visitor Economy into a compelling and powerful partnership.
All five partners believe that working together as the West Yorkshire LVEP will add real value, deliver exciting new projects and engage in creative ways with visitors to support the tourism sector across the region.

The West Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership has worked with partners and key stakeholders from across the sector to develop the first Destination Management Plan (DMP) for the region, covering Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.
The West Yorkshire Destination Management Plan sets out our ambition to increase awareness and appeal of our region as a destination, develop our product and places, and collaborate to grow our £5.77 billion visitor economy.
It provides a galvanising framework for the whole of West Yorkshire to move forward together, building on our collective and individual strengths. This plan focuses on the priorities and collaborative activities that, at a West Yorkshire level, will build a better and more productive visitor economy.
The purpose of the plan is to help create and sustain the visitor economy in a way that benefits the whole region, ensuring inclusive economic growth, that must be sustainable and responsible.
