Short Description Todmorden Book Festival will debut this autumn, running from 16th to 24th November 2018, bookended by two weekends. Organisers are delighted that poet and writer Andrew McMillan has agreed to become its first patron. Todmorden Book Festival 2018 aims to provide a vibrant programme of reading, writing and book-related events that celebrate the written word and stimulate, inspire and challenge audiences. The Festival programme will focus on the work of new and established writers from across the region and the UK, as well as the work of international authors. The programme includes fiction, non-fiction and poetry events for adults, young adults and children, across a range of genres, and aims to reflect the rich industrial and cultural heritage of the region, exploring individual and collective stories, celebrating difference and diversity, and reaching out to new audiences.
