Welcome to one of Yorkshire’s oldest and best kept secrets – The Old Bridge Inn, Village Pub and Restaurant in Ripponden, just outside Halifax in West Yorkshire.

This ancient inn has changed little over the last 700 years. As you approach it over the old packhorse bridge, and enter into this charming, civilised hostelry, there will always be a warm welcome from your third generation hosts Tim and Lindsay Walker and staff.

Food is served every day. The Inn’s interior is furnished with antiques, with real fires in winter adding to the welcome. Our award winning floral displays outside add the finishing touch.

Please note: Dogs are not allowed into the pub, however we have some lovely seating outside with dog tethers and drinking stations.

The Calderdale Way, a 50-mile walking route which circles the borough, passes right by The Old Bridge Inn, so call in for some great food and drink when you’re passing by.

Did you know? The Old Bridge Inn also doubled up as a filming location for the well-known TV production Last Tango in Halifax.  You can find out more about filming in Calderdale, and even build your very own personalised film trail, using the Film Calderdale Movie Map.
