Holdsworth House is a 17th Century Jacobean manor house located three miles North of Halifax, with an award-winning restaurant overlooking the garden and 39 bedrooms housed in the award-wining extension adjoining the house.
Our motto is fresh and local. We buy produce from Yorkshire suppliers and prepare all meals fresh. We want our food to speak for itself; great flavours, fresh ingredients all made with passion. The Restaurant at Holdsworth House offers three adjoining dining rooms that overlook our gardens. The Stone Room, the Panelled Room and the Mullioned Room each offers a cosy atmosphere, open fireplaces and stone mullioned windows to the world outside.
Celebrate milestone birthdays and special occasions with a delicious afternoon tea in one of our historic rooms, with their original wood panelling, large open fireplaces, antique furniture and vintage china. The perfect scene for a quintessentially British experience.
On warmer days you can take your tea and a glass of fizz on our garden terrace or in the Colonnade Courtyard. No matter where you sit, you’ll have an interesting, feature-packed view. Afternoon tea is served daily from 1pm to 5pm.
Our Long Bar occupies a lengthy stretch of the manor, with the pretty Colonnade Courtyard to the north and to its south our impressive gardens; which you can access via the Bar door. The Long Bar is the place to sit for coffee, to enjoy a bar snack or to take your pick from our extensive gin, whisky, beer and cocktail list.
Children are welcome at Holdsworth House. We have a special children’s menu available and a selection of rooms that can accommodate one extra bed or a cot/crib. There are also a number of interconnecting rooms for families with older children.
