A historic site rich in Methodist history, Mount Zion Methodist Heritage Chapel offers you the chance to explore a beautiful heritage building and enjoy a cream tea in the summer months!

On Tuesdays in July and August Yorkshire Cream Teas are available, with homemade scones baked fresh that day, homemade jam (which is sometimes also available for sale), butter and freshly whipped cream. The cream teas come with unlimited tea or coffee (speciality teas and cordials are also available).

Mount Zion has a unique part in the history of Methodism, with John Wesley staying in the cottage (in the room now known as The Prophet's Chamber) adjoining the Chapel, when he was travelling between preaching appointments in the 1700's. Mount Zion is home to the world-renowned Horace Hird Methodist Pottery Collection - come and see the many interesting pieces that comprise our collection.

Based on Carlo Goldoni’s comedy ‘The Servant of Two Masters’ writer Richard Bean’s play is a delight. Slapstick, silliness, song and satire all come together to create this glorious celebration of British comedy.

It is 1963 and fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in Brighton to collect £6000 from his fiancée’s dad. But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Holed up at the Cricketers’ Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be re-united with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple?

7.30pm 28 Years of Rock ’n’ Rolling The World! This breathtaking show has rock ’n’ rolled audiences across the globe from Cardiff to California, Barking to Bangkok and Swindon to Sweden and is guaranteed to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles. It stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One's Saturday night live programme, “The One and Only”, hosted by Graham Norton. The show rarely pauses for breath and is, quite simply, the most compelling concert of its kind. The hits just keep on coming - That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Raining In My Heart, Oh Boy! – and much, much more. Tickets from £19.75

7.30pm Celebrating 40 years since their debut on the West End stage in ‘Beatlemania’, the world’s Premier Beatles band continues to draw critical acclaim with their flawless recreation of the greatest songbook of all time. Tracing the Fab Four’s journey through the swinging 60s, every tiny detail is forensically observed from their authentic period costumes and instruments, to their witty stage banter and “inflection perfect” vocals. With a little help from their own orchestral ensemble, and featuring a special set to mark the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road, this show is an absolute must for Beatlemaniacs of all ages. Tickets from £34.25
