They also support local artists and “wannabe Lord Sugars” by renting out glass display cabinets, showcasing handmade crafts, collectables, antiques, militaria, art and the weird & wonderful. There is always an eclectic mix of different items at Al’s Emporium to suit all pockets and tastes. Al’s Emporium has moved to The Piece Hall from a high street shop in the market town of Todmorden to concentrate on promoting their smaller items of vintage & antique furniture and collectables. Al’s Emporium gained its name from a long standing family joke, at the expense of its owner, Alan Sargent, part of the husband and wife team who own the family business. It was the nickname given to Alan’s storage unit which family and friends referred to as “Al’s Emporium” because of the amount of items stored in it. Alan and Simone are working towards Al’s Emporium becoming a “must-go-to” shop at The Piece Hall where customers will always receive a first class service and a warm Yorkshire welcome.

A few years ago this Grade II listed barn was nothing but a romantic ruin. Now, after a careful restoration, it’s been converted into a two-bedroom rural retreat that oozes rustic charm. Inside you’ll find intriguing original features from its agricultural past. Timber cow stalls form the kitchen area and original high stone walls are met by the timber frame ceiling. There’s a cosy sitting room complete with wooden floors and a log-burner and a spacious galleried bedroom upstairs. Upon arriving at Widdop Gate Barn you’ll be greeted with sweeping views of rolling hills and the wooded valley of Hardcastle Crags. From here 15 miles of footpaths unfold through unspoilt woodland, where waterfalls tumble into rocky steams. The market town of Hebden Bridge is only two miles away and the city of Halifax is 10 miles to the east. You’re also about an hours’ drive from the Yorkshire Dales which is to the north. We have an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Point: 1 x 7kW 32A Type 2 Mennekes, ZeroNet

Our 2-acre plot is being developed to provide an organic kitchen garden, providing the foundations of our pub & restaurant menus- with the best of Yorkshire produce supplying the rest. Both the pub and restaurant menus are written with the seasons and cooked over fire. Our wine list focuses on natural wines from small producers. We offer a continually changing selection by the glass and carafe- featuring both classic and more quirky styles. Alongside our draught beers, we also have a local and world bottled selection, particularly featuring traditional Belgian styles- some of which are rare, vintage and aged. The Pub Is a cosy, traditional freehouse, with oak beams and wood-burning stoves. It offers a menu of seasonal plates cooked over charcoal, along with house-made charcuterie and aged cheeses- accompanied by great drinks. It's the perfect place to stop by for a quick pint and a snack, or to settle in by the fire for dinner and wine. In addition to our wine and beer selections, there is a spirits list based on Yorkshire distilleries, and a seasonal cocktail list. Our pub menu can also be enjoyed outdoors, with blankets and warming fires, and a view of the sunset over the Ryburn Valley. The Calderdale Way walking route passes by us, just over 200 metres away, The restaurant offers a daily set menu consisting of multiple courses, served in a relaxed, farmhouse-like atmosphere. Some courses are served as individual plates, at other times, several dishes are served together. While the pub menu focuses on tasty snacks and small plates that are great to have alongside drinks, the restaurant menu highlights traditional homesteading techniques, cooking over fire, preservation techniques and the sourcing of local, seasonal and wild ingredients. It's the place where we strictly use the produce around us and the ingredients we are most proud of.

Three escape rooms: one challenge. Your mission is simple; to escape from one of our locked rooms in less than 60 minutes. You will be challenged, physically and mentally. You will need to work as a team if you want to escape. You’ll also need resolve, determination and a good dose of common sense with you if you want to breakout in time. Find the clues, solve the puzzles and beat the clock to breakout.
A fully immersive live indoor game, Project Breakout at Rokt in Brighouse, offers three purpose built breakout rooms to provide you with a state-of-the-art escape room experience.
Designed for small groups of between 2 and 5 players, each room offers its own unique, compelling challenge.
You have been selected to take part in an experiment. Details as to the nature of the experiment cannot be revealed until the day of arrival. All we ask is that live subjects enrol. Not for the faint hearted. This is a test of skill, cunning and bravery. Not everyone will complete the challenge, but those who do will be rewarded with the ultimate prize! More details will be provided in your briefing should you choose to take the challenge. Do you have what it takes to beat the experiment?
You are in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse. By chance you’ve found yourself locked in an underground bunker owned by a secret Government organisation, but the scientist in charge of the keys ventured outside some time ago to assess the situation and never returned. The hordes of Zombies have begun to descend on the room, and your food and water supplies are exhausted. Suddenly your 2 way radio crackles into life. A rescue chopper has discovered your whereabouts and is on its way to rescue you, but they will only have one attempt to land before the Zombies overwhelm them. Estimated time of arrival is in 60 minutes. Can you find a way out of the room before the chopper is forced to leave, or worse, find yourself overcome by the undead army waiting outside?
Whilst carrying out a mission behind enemy lines you and your team of Secret Agents have been captured. A ransom has been sent to your government, but just as you expected they have denied all knowledge of your existence. Your captors are on their way back to your cell and who knows what horrible things they now have in store for you? Has your luck finally run out, or can you escape to freedom before they return?
