Original features include stone mullion windows, stone window sills and large wooden beams in both cottages. We have kept these original features but have brought both cottages into the 21st century with free wireless broadband connectivity, Smart TVs - 32in flat-screens with Freeview, USB port and blue tooth sound bar. For your health and pleasure we have installed a Far Infra Red Sauna in White Rose Cottage and a Hot Tub at Red Rose Cottage. The Calderdale Way passes right by our cottages, making them a great base from which to explore this 50 mile walking route. We have an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Point: 1 x 7kW 32A Type 2 Mennekes, ZeroNet.

    Apple Tree Farm holiday lets are newly-restored 17th century barn conversions in the village of Blackshaw Head, near the quaint market town of Hebden Bridge. We are surrounded by countryside, with spectacular views across the valley towards Stoodley Pike and the ancient village of Heptonstall. Within its own grounds, the farmhouse is an idyllic setting and is surrounded by the beautiful Pennine landscape. Apple Tree Farm offers the option of a one bed or a two bed barn conversion available for 7, 4 or , 3 night lets. Both accommodations are bright and airy with all the modern facility you would expect at home. The two bed sleeps 4, with both bedrooms having ensuite facilities. An open plan lounge and kitchen, creates a great social setting in each let for your holiday. The one bed has the added extra of a wood burner to warm up cold winter nights.

    A fabulous barn conversion now available as 5 Star self-catering holiday accommodation in an elevated position in Cragg Vale, an area of oustanding natural beauty near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. The surrounding countryside is ideal for exploring by foot; The Calderdale Way 50-mile walking route passes close by and there are many places of interest to be found within easy reach including the picturesque village of Haworth, once home to the famous Bronte sisters. Hebden Bridge itself has a rich industrial history and rapidly developed during the industrial revolution as mill owners made use of the valley sides to house their expanding workforce, giving the town its distinctive look. The town has now left its industrial past behind and is home to a unique range of shops, fine restaurants and traditional pubs. Old Cragg Hall Barn comprises of a large entrance hallway, master bedroom with king size four poster bed and en-suite shower room and two further bedrooms that can be configured as twin or super king size rooms. There is also a house bathroom with bath/shower. The large open plan living space is situated on the first floor, with a full glazed wall making the most of the fabulous views across Cragg Vale valley. This floor contains a well equipped kitchen, dining area and stylish and elegant living area with wood burning stove, ideal for those cosy evenings in. Outside there is a large private patio area with tables, chairs and a barbecue with parking available for several cars. Facilities include a flat screen HD TV, Blu ray DVD/CD player, Freesat HD, wifi Internet, separate TV/DVD in the master bedroom and a small library of books and DVDs. The kitchen has a fridge and freezer, dishwasher, electric double oven and induction hob, and there is a washer/dryer in the understairs cupboard. Gibson Mill is situated within Hardcastle Crags woodland beside Hebden Water. The National Trust have put in some superb waymarked walking routes suitable for all abilities. Cross the river on stepping stones and spot birds, insects, amphibians and if you're lucky; deer! You'll find Hardcastle Crags offers a completely different experience throughout the year - from the icicles of midwinter to the carpet of bluebells in the spring. The early 19th century Gibson Mill is situated within the site. A tour of the mill tells the history of the valley and the mill over the past 200 years. The mill also has changing exhibitions throughout the year. Gibson Mill is 100% self-sufficient in energy, water and waste treatment. It has a hydro-electric system, solar photovoltaic panels and a log-burning stove fuelled by wood from the estate. You can also rest and recharge at the Weaving Shed Café, serving delicious ethical and locally-produced food and buy the perfect gift or memento in the shop located there. Built in around 1800,Gibson Mill was one of the first mills of the Industrial Revolution. The mill was driven by a water wheel and produced cotton cloth up until 1890. In the early 1900s, Gibson Mill began to be used as an ‘entertainment emporium’ for the local people. After the Second World War, the mill slipped into disuse, and was acquired by the National Trust in 1950. Hardcastle Crags is open all year round from dawn until dusk, admission to Hardcastle Crags and Gibson Mill are FREE. Dogs are welcome (including in the café and mill) if kept under close control. GETTING THERE You have three options to get to Hardcastle Crags: By car - there is parking at Midgehole (for Sat Nav use HX7 7AA) and Clough Hole (for Sat Nav use HX7 7AZ). A parking fee applies at both car parks, although parking is free for National Trust members By bus – the 906 runs from Hebden Bridge on weekends between May and October. It will take you to both the bottom and the top of the valley. Walking – there is a route from Hebden Bridge on good paths with a bit of road walking. It will take you about 45 minutes. Extremely well designed and equipped, sleeps 4 in comfort. Oats Royd Loft Apartment is part of a majestic Yorkshire stone barn that was once the stabling for Oats Royd Mill. It is fresh, light, airy, modern, stimulating and ingenious. There are some extraordinary touches: Japanese-style screens around the raised double bed, metal and perspex stairs leading to a cosy twin roof room, a highly efficient Scandinavian woodburner - high tech meets history in this wonderful transformation! Artists and designers, Hilly and Dan Fletcher have put heart and soul into the restoration of this fine building and have made it into an absolute treasure! The apartment sleeps 4 in comfort and there is a sofa bed or folding bed available for an extra guest. Hilly is a serious cook, so the kitchen is very well equipped with gas cooker/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster etc and anything else you may need can be borrowed.The dining table seats six, but if you don't want to cook, with a bit of advance notice delicious meals are normally available from Hilly. Packed lunches can also be arranged. The apartment has most modern conveniences, including WiFi, TV/DVD, CD/radio, iron and board, hairdryer etc. Outside is a lovely stoneflagged dining patio and sundeck (shared with owners and wildlife) which overlooks the old mill pond, where you can put your feet up, read a book or bring your fishing rod and catch your supper! We can come to local bus/train stations to collect you on your arrival, please ring us to make arrangements. Local buses stop right outside the mill next door. There is a wealth of good entertainment and dining in the area. It's worth checking out what's on in Halifax and Hebden Bridge before you arrive - theatres and music venues in Leeds and Manchester are also easily accessible for an evening out. There is a large Mill Pond in the garden which is full of fish, which guests are welcome to use. A laundry room is available to guests.
