This winter, The Piece Hall will be transformed into a spectacular Christmas destination like no other.

From 22 November – 31 December, the courtyard will become home to a stunning Christmas tree, a thrilling fair-like Victorian carousel and our cosy courtyard Deluxe Bar, where you can enjoy warming drinks sheltered from the storm.

A Christmas Fair showcasing some of the region’s favourite independent craft stalls, artisan makers and pop-up food and drink traders will feature for a festive shopping weekend 29th November - 1st December, while the surrounding shops, cafes, bars and restaurants will be open throughout the season to pick up that special gift or stop for a bite to eat along the way.

The season continues with the magnificent circus-style Salon Perdu, showcasing a fantastic programme of family shows, live music and stand-up comedy. An array of creative Christmas workshops give you the chance to get crafty and learn a new skill, while outside brass bands and choirs bring the place to life with festive cheer. The season will come to a close with a festive finale on New Year’s Eve, when 2020 is seen in with an outdoor Courtyard Party for an evening to remember.

Mount Zion Heritage Chapel is holding its first ever community Christmas Tree Festival this year. No admission will be charged at the festival - we would just love to see as many people as possible coming to enjoy what should be a lovely event in the run-up to Christmas. The culmination of the event will be our carol service on Sunday, December 8, at 2.45pm when the winning tree will also be announced. Light refreshments will be available each day.
