    Old Gate is a great place to pop in for a coffee, have a few pints, stay for your tea or to treat someone to a special dinner in our restaurant. We hope you enjoy! The use of local and seasonal produce is a theme that runs through the Old Gate menu but we have also tried to incorporate it in the renovation of the building, using local suppliers and independent stores wherever possible, even down to the fabric for our curtains and upholstery. We are also proud to introduce and exhibit various artists from around the area; take time to look at our decorative artwork and also our Wordle (you can't miss it!) hand painted by a local sign writer, it will give you a great idea of the experience we hope you will have at Old Gate.

We feel strongly about utilising local resources and local people, but also fairness and equality when sourcing from further afield. We put a lot of time into sourcing our produce and look at the way it impacts others. We are dog friendly in our downstairs room.

Each of our three cottages offers accommodation for two people, with a double bedroom, bathroom, living/dining room with TV and DVD player, modern fitted kitchen equipped with microwave, fridge, electric oven and full utensils. The proprietors living in the adjacent farm house and have a wealth of local knowledge they are happy to share with you to make your stay a memorable one. Pets accepted with prior arrangement.
