    The Fall Cottage, situated in the beautiful Shibden Valley, has been comfortably renovated with many original features. The cottage is in a semi-rural position approximately 2 miles from Halifax and is ideal for that quiet holiday. Bronte country and the Yorkshire Dales are easily accessible from the area. Halifax has many interesting buildings, museums and galleries. Pets are welcome in the cottage but on the condition that they are not left alone within the cottage. The cottage sleeps 4 and is also non smoking.

At Cherry Tree Cottages we have two warm, traditional, stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the Black Brook valley and attractive South Pennines. Both our cottages have direct access to open countryside and footpaths. We are in a country location within 15 minutes of either Halifax or Huddersfield town centres, and are ideally situated for exploring Bronte Country and historic West Yorkshire. The major tourist attractions of Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance. The cottages are fully equipped and furnished to four stars standard and are connected to a wireless broadband network for free internet and email access. Central heating and linen are included, and there are no extras of any kind. Laundry and drying facilities are provided in the cottage. You may also check availability at any time by visiting our website www.yorkshire-cottages.co.uk Pets and children are welcome. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. We have an extensive garden area with good dog walking direct from the doorstep.     This luxury loft apartment, contained within a superbly converted 19th c mill stable, is an absolute delight. Situated in stunning Pennine valley near Hebden Bridge. Extremely well designed and equipped, sleeps 4 in comfort. Oats Royd Loft Apartment is part of a majestic Yorkshire stone barn that was once the stabling for Oats Royd Mill. It is fresh, light, airy, modern, stimulating and ingenious. There are some extraordinary touches: Japanese-style screens around the raised double bed, metal and perspex stairs leading to a cosy twin roof room, a highly efficient Scandinavian woodburner - high tech meets history in this wonderful transformation! Artists and designers, Hilly and Dan Fletcher have put heart and soul into the restoration of this fine building and have made it into an absolute treasure! The apartment sleeps 4 in comfort and there is a sofa bed or folding bed available for an extra guest. Hilly is a serious cook, so the kitchen is very well equipped with gas cooker/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster etc and anything else you may need can be borrowed.The dining table seats six, but if you don't want to cook, with a bit of advance notice delicious meals are normally available from Hilly. Packed lunches can also be arranged. The apartment has most modern conveniences, including WiFi, TV/DVD, CD/radio, iron and board, hairdryer etc. Outside is a lovely stoneflagged dining patio and sundeck (shared with owners and wildlife) which overlooks the old mill pond, where you can put your feet up, read a book or bring your fishing rod and catch your supper! We can come to local bus/train stations to collect you on your arrival, please ring us to make arrangements. Local buses stop right outside the mill next door. There is a wealth of good entertainment and dining in the area. It's worth checking out what's on in Halifax and Hebden Bridge before you arrive - theatres and music venues in Leeds and Manchester are also easily accessible for an evening out. There is a large Mill Pond in the garden which is full of fish, which guests are welcome to use. A laundry room is available to guests. The Pennine and Calderdale Ways, on which lies Stoodley Pike, traverse the ridge of hills behind the property and the Rochdale/Leeds Canal with towpath walks runs through the valley beneath. Todmorden with its shops and market is two miles away and can be reached by bus. Hebden Bridge, Howarth and the Bronte country, the Worth Valley Steam Railway, Halifax with the Piece Hall, the Eureka Museum and theatres are all within easy reach.
