Little Valley Brewery sits high on the Pennine moorland of Cragg Vale, close to The Calderdale Way in West Yorkshire. We brew an inspired range of award-winning beers, naturally refreshing and full of good taste. All of our beers are brewed with 100% organic agricultural ingredients. We carefully select only the best, tastiest organic hops and malts, all brewed with soft Yorkshire water. All you get to taste are fine hand crafted beers that are naturally brewed to the highest standards. If you are able to come to visit us at the Brewery Shop then please do. We have a cash only basis at the shop and are open from Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (excluding Bank Holidays).

A superb way to go walking in Calderdale - The Calderdale Way is a 50 mile (80 km) walk exploring the hills, moors and valleys of Calderdale that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

It is an ‘up and down’ journey with few level sections. However, the higher levels provide some exceptionally fine panoramic views. The main and link routes to the valley bottom are designed so that they can be completed in short stages.

The Calderdale Way encircles Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, following old packhorse ways across the open gritstone hillsides with sections of traditional stone causeway, passing through hillside villages and old mill towns on the banks of the River Calder.

There are numerous link paths which connect the Calderdale Way to the valley floor. There are medieval settlements at Lumbutts and Mankinholes, and Withens Gate, where the Pennine Way crosses. A short diversion along the Pennine Way takes in the popular walk to the 100ft monument, Stoodley Pike.

The full length of the route is 51.39 miles, with a total climb of approx 2,600 metres (over 9,000 feet) at a climb rate of 43 metres per mile. This makes a flat equivalent distance of 57.49 miles.

At Polkadot Lane we have a large variety of Polish Pottery Stoneware that are beautiful, unique, hand crafted objects creating a distinctive feel for any room and your garden. We specialise in the famous and highly collectable Polish Stoneware Pottery and Savon de Marseille soap. Each piece of the polish stoneware pottery is handmade and hand decorated in Bolesławiec Poland and our soaps are produced by French craftsmen in Marseille, Provence using natural products enriched with Shea Butter. All our products are of the highest quality, unique and are extremely practical. The pottery is ovenproof, dishwasher, microwave, Aga and freezer-safe with a wide variety of patterns and designs to collect.

The old Robin Hood Inn has been in business since around 1800. We are a convivial Yorkshire village pub with welcoming open fires, hand-pumped real ales, quality wines, speciality lagers and home made pub food, located on beautiful Cragg Vale, close to The Calderdale Way walking route.

Halifax

Set Down Points:

Cobbled lay by (adjacent to 'The Woolshops Shopping Centre' car park, on your left) on Square Road, Halifax, HX1 1QG. 

Coach Parking:

• Pre-booked coach parking is available in the Eureka! car parks. All coach parking must be booked in advance directly with Eureka! and is subject to availability.. Eureka! Contact: 01422 330069

• Pre-booked coach parking for a maximum of two coaches is available at The  Shay Stadium, Halifax HX3 0AQ in the South Stand Car Park. All coach parking must be booked in advance.  £25.00 for a full day – weekdays only, (cash only).  No reduction for part days. The Shay Stadium 01422 264750

Hebden Bridge

Set Down Points: Lay by on New Road, HX7 8AF (adjacent to Hebden Bridge Marina).

Coach Parking: There is a signposted car park in the nearby village of Heptonstall on Valley View Road. (Use the Heptonstall turning circle just outside Hebden Bridge to double back up towards Heptonstall.) The lay-by opposite the Heptonstall turning circle also sometimes has space to park, but the amount of space available there varies daily.

Parking is available for up to two coaches in a lay-by at the marina on New Road by Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre for up to three hours. Postcode HX7 8AF

There is a signposted car park in nearby Heptonstall, on Valley View Road. Postcode HX7 7LB.

There is also a lay-by opposite the Heptonstall turning circle on King Street (A646). There is sometimes space to park here, although the amount of space available varies daily. Postcode HX7 6LX.

Todmorden

Set Down Point: Stand A, Todmorden Bus Station, Burnley Road, OL14 5DJ. Please use Stand A, which is located on the main road, for both drop off and pick up.

Coach Parking: Todmorden Bus Station, Burnley Road, OL14 5DJ. After dropping off at Stand A, coaches can drive onto the bus station proper and park in one of two lay-bys at the station designated as 'bus lay over'. For more information please ring Metro on 0113 2517330.
