    Stay at one of West Yorkshire’s top hotels. Holdsworth House is a 17th Century Jacobean manor house located three miles North of Halifax, with an award-winning restaurant overlooking the garden and 39 bedrooms housed in the award-wining extension adjoining the house. The Restaurant's three adjoining, beautifully furnished rooms (The Stone Room, The Panelled Room and the Mullioned Room) overlook the gardens. Each offers a unique atmosphere, a lovely original fireplace and stone mullioned windows to the outside world. Our motto is fresh and local. We buy produce from Yorkshire suppliers and prepare all meals fresh. We want our food to speak for itself; great flavours, fresh ingredients all made with passion. We have a special children’s menu available and a selection of rooms that can accommodate one extra bed or a cot/crib. There are also a number of interconnecting rooms for families with older children. We also have a ground floor accessible room. Holdsworth House has seen its share of celebrity guests over the last 50 years whilst in the caring hands of the Pearson family. Now the Jacobean manor is also becoming well known for its role as a TV set. In recent times the team has welcomed film crews from all over the UK, including the BAFTA-winning crew from Last Tango in Halifax, screened on the BBC. Holdsworth House was lucky to be featured in the final three episodes of series two, when Caroline and Kate escaped for a romantic break at ‘a luxury hotel’. The manor was also the setting for Celia’s hen party and for the series finale wedding of Alan and Celia. We are located less than a hundred metres from the route of The Calderdale Way, a 50 mile walking route which circles the borough.

    Stag Cottage (built c.1580) is a tiny, beautiful and historic Grade II Listed building hidden away in the ancient Pennine village of Heptonstall, just a stone's throw from the Post Office and the two village pubs. The Cottage is reputed to be the oldest in the village, dating from the 16th Century. The cottage sleeps 3 adults (1 kingsize, 1 single) and there is also a fold up cot for infants. Gas central heating. Fully fitted kitchen with gas stove. Free parking within 50 yards of the cottage. A regular bus service runs between Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge. The old village dungeon or "lock up" situated on the lower ground floor, may be used for the storage of bicycles.

    A lovingly converted holiday cottage in the hamlet of Blackshaw Head near Hebden Bridge, close to walking routes The Calderdale Way and The Pennine Way and with a private hot-tub. Packhorse Stables boasts outstanding views across the unspoilt Colden Valley, yet is only a 30 minute woodland walk to the historic market town of Hebden Bridge which offers an eclectic selection of amenities. The front stable-door opens into a large open plan living/dining area. The living area comprises one sofa (can be converted to a bed), comfy chair, wood burning stove, underfloor heating, wall-mounted flat screen TV with free-view and DVD player. The Dining area has a wooden table, bookcase with a wide range of books and tourist information, stereo CD and ipod docking station. Local craftsmen have been used to supply the furnishings and fittings where possible and most is available to buy in Hebden Bridge. Fully- fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave, large fridge/freezer, slow cooker, extensive cookware and crockery. Two large windows, one offering beautiful views of the garden and the second overlooking the front patio. Wet-room to the rear of the property with heated towel rail, luxury walk in shower and underfloor heating. Large centrally heated bedroom with fitted carpet, quality wooden furniture, super-kingsize bed and several windows with far reaching views of the valley and gardens. Moving to the outside of the cottage there is a south-facing patio at the front with table and chairs, ideal for al-fresco dining. To the rear there is another large patio which has the hot-tub – perfect for gazing at the stars at night or taking in the sights of the valley during the day. Wood-store and BBQ where bikes can also be kept under cover. Large garden with pond and additional seating area, which can be illuminated at night. Wild pheasants love to be fed here and we have two resident Little owls and woodpeckers. Parking for 2 cars on a private drive, access to both front and back doors can be reached avoiding steps. Bedlinen, towels, gas, electricity and starter pack for woodburner all included in the price. We can offer champagne/evening platters/chocolates on arrival….perfect for anniversaries/birthdays and we are very popular for honeymoon couples….please ask when booking

The surrounding countryside is ideal for exploring by foot; The Calderdale Way 50-mile walking route passes close by and there are many places of interest to be found within easy reach including the picturesque village of Haworth, once home to the famous Bronte sisters. Hebden Bridge itself has a rich industrial history and rapidly developed during the industrial revolution as mill owners made use of the valley sides to house their expanding workforce, giving the town its distinctive look. The town has now left its industrial past behind and is home to a unique range of shops, fine restaurants and traditional pubs. Old Cragg Hall Barn comprises of a large entrance hallway, master bedroom with king size four poster bed and en-suite shower room and two further bedrooms that can be configured as twin or super king size rooms. There is also a house bathroom with bath/shower. It is a brand new conversion completed to the highest standards with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. Bicycle storage is available in an adjoining outhouse and there is free parking on site - a rarity in the centre of the village. For the non-drivers, a regular bus service runs between Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge train station. The barn has been sensitively converted in keeping with the Grade II listed status using original Yorkshire stone and has a lovely log burning stove and stone hearth. The owners will be on-hand in the adjoining house. Heptonstall is a beautiful hill top village situated in the heart of Calderdale, West Yorkshire, some 500 feet above the popular and bustling town of Hebden Bridge. The village has 2 pubs, a cafe, a village post office, a small museum and a social and bowling club. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking; ideal for walking and cycling, including the nearby National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags. There are literary links to both the Bronte family in nearby Haworth and to the late poet laureate, Ted Hughes and his wife Sylvia Plath, who is buried in the village church yard - as featured in the hit TV series Happy Valley. The apartment is accessed through a private door and staircase leading up to the first floor. Here you’ll find the living room, master bedroom, kitchen and main bathroom. A lovely hallway and staircase takes you to the mezzanine bedroom, twin bedroom (with adjoining balcony) and second bathroom. We are dog friendly, however we do ask they are kept out of the bedroom areas. You also have access to a private yard at the rear of the apartment to wash muddy boots and muddy paws before entering the apartment after your daily adventures! The apartment is situated on a pedestrian only street however loading/unloading is permitted before 10am and after 4pm
