    We are an exciting and unique bar and kitchen in the heart of Brighouse situated on the lovely canal basin opposite Sainsburys. We incorporate the history of the old boathouse at Victoria works with innovation and passion to create this modern yet historical bar still full of original features. We aim to satisfy everyone’s needs, whether you fancy a mid-shop coffee, relaxing wine, sophisticated cocktail or a pint of real ale we are the place to be. To add to our unique offering we have made all of our wines available by the glass. We serve a range of food in an informal and relaxed environment. Anything from a lunchtime sandwich to a full three course meal is available all home cooked and using fresh ingredients locally sourced. For something a little different why not try our tapas and look out for our special deals. At the weekend Jeremy’s becomes a great live music venue showcasing the best local bands and beyond. We have live music every Friday and Saturday from 9pm and chilled out acoustic sounds every Sunday from 4pm.

The Millers Bar in Brighouse had been voted into the top 30 of the county’s pubs by the general public in the Welcome to Yorkshire competition for the last two years and made it a hat-trick in 2017, being voted as one of the Yorkshire public’s favourite pubs for the third year running. The Millers Bar is a family friendly community Pub where you can enjoy relaxation, celebration, social and networking events and general revelry. The pub is designed to feel like home, cosy, informal and dog friendly with eclectic shabby chic furniture and real fires to get comfy around. Our helpful and polite bar staff are trained to serve and advise you. Food is served daily in the bar and restaurant from 12 Noon to 8.30pm.     This purpose built Art Gallery and public library, known as ‘The Rydings’, is surrounded by a beautiful park and gardens. The front gallery hosts an exhibition of oil paintings, based on People and Places, including works by Atkinson Grimshaw, Marcus Stone and Thomas Sydney Cooper. The rear gallery hosts changing displays, covering a wide variety of themes from local artists to touring exhibitions, including photography, mixed media and sculpture, ensuring there is always something new and different to enjoy. The gallery was built by Alderman William Smith and donated, along with his collection of artwork, to the people of Brighouse in 1907. The Smith Art Gallery provides a pleasant atmosphere to meet your friends, interact with beautiful paintings and do the family gallery hunt/trail. There is also an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions in a range of media from paintings to photography and textiles, providing a wonderful experience each time you visit.

    A new exhibition capturing a century of Brighouse, West Yorkshire on canvas and camera, featuring paintings and photographs from Calderdale Museums’ collections, including works by local Brighouse artists Miles Sharp and Stanley Chapman. These works are displayed alongside newly produced photographs by the Halifax Photographic Society, who have recreated scenes from historic artworks of Brighouse to bring up to date the story of everyday life and ongoing change in the town. This exhibition runs from Saturday 19th October 2019 until Monday 20th April 2020 .     The iconic annual 1940’s weekend will once again return Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June and is expected to draw in massive crowds from across the region and beyond. Celebrating the war years Brighouse will host a feast of nostalgic music, entertainment, food and fashion. A collection of vintage vehicles will be on show alongside army vehicles. Brighouse will also host a wide range of wartime demonstrations such as re-enactors parade, living history displays and remembrance services. The hugely popular event will also see the largest vintage market yet. Dress code is optional but you're positively encouraged to come dressed-up 1940’s style! Events will be held across the town from 10am until 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
