At Cherry Tree Cottages we have two warm, traditional, stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the Black Brook valley and attractive South Pennines. Both our cottages have direct access to open countryside and footpaths. We are in a country location within 15 minutes of either Halifax or Huddersfield town centres, and are ideally situated for exploring Bronte Country and historic West Yorkshire. The major tourist attractions of Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance. The cottages are fully equipped and furnished to four stars standard and are connected to a wireless broadband network for free internet and email access. Central heating and linen are included, and there are no extras of any kind. Laundry and drying facilities are provided in the cottage. You may also check availability at any time by visiting our website www.yorkshire-cottages.co.uk Pets and children are welcome. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. We have an extensive garden area with good dog walking direct from the doorstep. Being situated in the heart of the Pennines, Todmorden is within easy reach of many places of interest in both Yorkshire and Lancashire. There is a nearby horse riding facility, fishing/bird watching and stabling if necessary.     Set amidst the stunning Yorkshire Moors and in the heart of Bronte Country, Brook House Cottage offers tranquility, culture and stunning scenery. The property boasts three large bedrooms each with an allocated shower and toilet room. Within the grounds of the house is a private fishing and boating lake, tennis court and woodland for guests to enjoy. Halifax Golf Club is a two minute walk from the cottage. A perfect location for families, walkers, fishermen, cyclists and golfers. Guests can enjoy fishing in our fully stocked 3/4 acre pond. The last 12 months have been spent emptying, cleaning and refilling our pond which is set within the grounds, just 50 metres from the Cottage. An idyllic location to relax and fish. Please note: fishing lessons for novices can be arranged at an extra cost of £25 per session with a local expert fisherman. If you enjoy a round of golf, The Halifax Golf Club is literally just around the corner from the cottage. It is a demanding 18 hole course set in the stunning Ogden Moors with breath-taking views. You can enjoy a drink and a great meal in the club house after a round and even a game of snooker! Heron and Geese reside within the grounds (depending upon the time of year), and can be studied from the vantage point of our bird-watching hut located next to the lake. Remember to bring your binoculars, or ask to borrow ours! We also have wild deer that regularly roam the grounds. Guests can enjoy freshly laid eggs daily from our family of hens!

    This luxury loft apartment, contained within a superbly converted 19th c mill stable, is an absolute delight. Situated in stunning Pennine valley near Hebden Bridge. Extremely well designed and equipped, sleeps 4 in comfort. Oats Royd Loft Apartment is part of a majestic Yorkshire stone barn that was once the stabling for Oats Royd Mill. It is fresh, light, airy, modern, stimulating and ingenious. There are some extraordinary touches: Japanese-style screens around the raised double bed, metal and perspex stairs leading to a cosy twin roof room, a highly efficient Scandinavian woodburner - high tech meets history in this wonderful transformation! Artists and designers, Hilly and Dan Fletcher have put heart and soul into the restoration of this fine building and have made it into an absolute treasure! The apartment sleeps 4 in comfort and there is a sofa bed or folding bed available for an extra guest. Hilly is a serious cook, so the kitchen is very well equipped with gas cooker/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster etc and anything else you may need can be borrowed.The dining table seats six, but if you don't want to cook, with a bit of advance notice delicious meals are normally available from Hilly. Packed lunches can also be arranged. The apartment has most modern conveniences, including WiFi, TV/DVD, CD/radio, iron and board, hairdryer etc. Outside is a lovely stoneflagged dining patio and sundeck (shared with owners and wildlife) which overlooks the old mill pond, where you can put your feet up, read a book or bring your fishing rod and catch your supper! We can come to local bus/train stations to collect you on your arrival, please ring us to make arrangements. Local buses stop right outside the mill next door. There is a wealth of good entertainment and dining in the area. It's worth checking out what's on in Halifax and Hebden Bridge before you arrive - theatres and music venues in Leeds and Manchester are also easily accessible for an evening out. There is a large Mill Pond in the garden which is full of fish, which guests are welcome to use. A laundry room is available to guests.
