Coiners’ Barn is situated in one of the most spectacular locations in Yorkshire with breathtaking views over the Calder Valley. Nestled on the edge of Broadhead Clough Nature reserve in Cragg Vale we are a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and so need to protect our environment as a priority. We are linked to both the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way walking routes, as well as many interesting and local walks in Cragg Vale and the unique town of Hebden Bridge. We offer superior, self contained B&B accommodation for walkers and lovers of the great outdoors. We are a little bit different in our location. Bring your wellies, stroll along enjoying the views and arrive to a homely, warm welcome. Our three bedrooms are a haven for walkers. The daytime exhibition space doubles as a space for guests to enjoy a meal, rest their weary limbs, and enjoy some time to plan the following day’s activity. All our guests are invited to make themselves at home and have the option to cook for themselves or be served a home cooked meal of their choice. The highest standards of comfort are available at affordable and competitive prices. We want you to come to us with as little ‘baggage’ as possible. The little feet in our logo really are significant and so we’d like for you to get to us by foot. We have some safe parking nearby so there really is no excuse.

The cottage overlooks the River Ryburn and has its own fishing rights. Nearby is the 'oldest pub' in Yorkshire and also St Bartholomews Church. The 50-mile waalking route The Calderdale Way passes right by us, and there are other excellent walks to be enjoyed from the village, as well as many cycle routes. We are a short driving distance from many key tourist attractions including Hebden Bridge, The Bronte Country, (home place of the Bronte Sisters), Last of the Summer Wine Country, Esholt (the birthplace of Emmerdale Farm) and, for those of you who enjoy shopping and exciting nightlife, Leeds and Manchester are only a 20 minute drive away. Why not make a special occasion of your stay with us and order wine, champagne, chocolates or flowers to be provided in your room upon arrival or even reserve a table for a bar meal in the 'oldest pub' in Yorkshire 'The Bridge Inn' dating back to the 1300's. These, or other ideas, can be arranged during the time of booking. Our aim is simply to do what we are able to do to make your stay with us as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.

Hello!! We (and the Alpacas) are based in the Southern Pennines in the picturesque Calder Valley outside the small market town of Hebden Bridge. We are a 15 minute bus ride from town. We first became interested in Alpacas in 2012 and have then since travelled South Wales to build our small award winning heard. Our boys are suited to the South Pennines given there native roots in South America and they love the long Summer days up in the hills just outside the lovely village of Blackshaw Head which is a mere 5 minutes away by car and bus from Heben Bridge. Come along and go for a walk with one of the guys, both you and they will love walking round our land in the country and you will experience the serenity and peacefulness of these beautiful Alpacas, and oh.. did I forget, the scenery ‘ain’t alf’ bad either!
