The local bus ""The Cragg Flyer"" stops just outside the cottages for journeys to Mytholmroyd (2miles), Hebden Bridge (4miles) or just down the road to a true local pub 'The Robin Hood'.     Stag Cottage (built c.1580) is a tiny, beautiful and historic Grade II Listed building hidden away in the ancient Pennine village of Heptonstall, just a stone's throw from the Post Office and the two village pubs. The Cottage is reputed to be the oldest in the village, dating from the 16th Century. The cottage sleeps 3 adults (1 kingsize, 1 single) and there is also a fold up cot for infants.
