    Mount Skip stands alone in an isolated rural location at an altitude of 300m (1000 feet) on a hillside overlooking the Calder Valley. It is approximately one mile to the east of Hebden Bridge town centre and stands within the Green Belt and a Special Landscape Area. We have three rooms - an en-suite family room, en-suite double room and a twin room with a private bathroom. All our rooms are tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Each room and bathroom has those little added extras - a hospitality tray, a hairdryer and shaving adaptor plug. Even shampoo and shower gel in case you have forgotten yours. Breakfast is an enjoyable experience with a good choice of continental style breakfast which includes freshly made coffee, tea, home-made bread and preserves. For those who prefer there is also a cooked English breakfast where if you wish you can enjoy our local butcher's bacon, sausages and free range eggs. Why not have both? For extra relaxation we have a private guest lounge which has stunning panoramic views. Prices include a full English and /or Continental breakfast and use of the guest lounge with complimentary tea, coffee and sodas. Discounts can be arranged for longer staying guests. This can be discussed at the point of booking or on arrival.

Nestled on the edge of Broadhead Clough Nature reserve in Cragg Vale we are a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and so need to protect our environment as a priority. We are linked to both the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way walking routes, as well as many interesting and local walks in Cragg Vale and the unique town of Hebden Bridge. We offer superior, self contained B&B accommodation for walkers and lovers of the great outdoors. We are a little bit different in our location. Bring your wellies, stroll along enjoying the views and arrive to a homely, warm welcome. Our three bedrooms are a haven for walkers. The daytime exhibition space doubles as a space for guests to enjoy a meal, rest their weary limbs, and enjoy some time to plan the following day’s activity. All our guests are invited to make themselves at home and have the option to cook for themselves or be served a home cooked meal of their choice. The highest standards of comfort are available at affordable and competitive prices. We want you to come to us with as little ‘baggage’ as possible.
