The vast majority of our suppliers are from Calderdale so local produce is often be used. That’s important to us as we believe completely in the idea of spending locally helps the local community survive and grow. The name comes from the true story of when Halifax had a zoo, yes really! in Siddal just before WW1. One day a bear managed to escape, meander around a bit before finally being returned to the zoo.
