Menus are created using both classic and modern techniques to create fascinating, often unique dishes often linked to the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. Things can be unexpected, playful and sometimes even slightly BONKERS ! The White Rabbit is situated in the centre of the Pennine market town of Todmorden and is close to bus and rail links. Food is served from Wednesday to Saturday from 12.00 to 3.00 pm and again from 5.30 to 9.00 pm.

    A lovingly converted holiday cottage in the hamlet of Blackshaw Head near Hebden Bridge, close to walking routes The Calderdale Way and The Pennine Way and with a private hot-tub. Packhorse Stables boasts outstanding views across the unspoilt Colden Valley, yet is only a 30 minute woodland walk to the historic market town of Hebden Bridge which offers an eclectic selection of amenities. The front stable-door opens into a large open plan living/dining area. The living area comprises one sofa (can be converted to a bed), comfy chair, wood burning stove, underfloor heating, wall-mounted flat screen TV with free-view and DVD player. The Dining area has a wooden table, bookcase with a wide range of books and tourist information, stereo CD and ipod docking station. Local craftsmen have been used to supply the furnishings and fittings where possible and most is available to buy in Hebden Bridge. Fully- fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave, large fridge/freezer, slow cooker, extensive cookware and crockery. Two large windows, one offering beautiful views of the garden and the second overlooking the front patio. Wet-room to the rear of the property with heated towel rail, luxury walk in shower and underfloor heating. Large centrally heated bedroom with fitted carpet, quality wooden furniture, super-kingsize bed and several windows with far reaching views of the valley and gardens. Moving to the outside of the cottage there is a south-facing patio at the front with table and chairs, ideal for al-fresco dining. To the rear there is another large patio which has the hot-tub – perfect for gazing at the stars at night or taking in the sights of the valley during the day. Wood-store and BBQ where bikes can also be kept under cover. Large garden with pond and additional seating area, which can be illuminated at night. Wild pheasants love to be fed here and we have two resident Little owls and woodpeckers. Parking for 2 cars on a private drive, access to both front and back doors can be reached avoiding steps. Bedlinen, towels, gas, electricity and starter pack for woodburner all included in the price. We can offer champagne/evening platters/chocolates on arrival….perfect for anniversaries/birthdays and we are very popular for honeymoon couples….please ask when booking

We feel strongly about utilising local resources and local people, but also fairness and equality when sourcing from further afield.     The fabulously comfortable and delightfully quirky Misty Lady, is a newly-renovated 1960s wide beam boat full of character. With its own terraced mooring on the Rochdale Canal - just five minutes’ walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge - this is a great location for exploring the beautiful Calder Valley and the Pennine Way. The boat sleeps up to four people. There is a bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and ample shelving. In the living room, the sofa may also be converted into a comfortable double bed. Trains run from Blackpool North to York via Hebden Bridge and Halifax and from Leeds via Bradford to Manchester Victoria via all stations. It is also possible to travel to Leeds via Dewsbury from Mytholmroyd and Sowerby Bridge. A direct service operated by Grand Central runs from London to Halifax and Brighouse three times a day.

We are in a country location within 15 minutes of either Halifax or Huddersfield town centres, and are ideally situated for exploring Bronte Country and historic West Yorkshire. The major tourist attractions of Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance. The cottages are fully equipped and furnished to four stars standard and are connected to a wireless broadband network for free internet and email access. Central heating and linen are included, and there are no extras of any kind. Laundry and drying facilities are provided in the cottage.
