These two, well appointed apartments are set in the glorious wooded valley of Hebden Dale bordering the National Trust property of Hardcastle Crags. Both apartments are completely self contained and each has a spacious double bedroom, contemporary shower room, fully-fitted kitchen with dining area and a comfortable sitting room. Studio Number 1 has a romantic Juliette balcony and Studio Number 2 has a large wooden deck ideal for al fresco eating, both have far reaching views. Each apartment also has a flat screen TV with DVD player, digital TV and radio stations plus free WiFi broadband. There is good mobile reception from most cellphone providers. Trains run from Blackpool North to York via Hebden Bridge and Halifax and from Leeds via Bradford to Manchester Victoria via all stations. It is also possible to travel to Leeds via Dewsbury from Mytholmroyd and Sowerby Bridge. A direct service operated by Grand Central runs from London to Halifax and Brighouse three times a day.

Nestle in your own little patch of harmony in this quaint two-bedroom Victorian cottage, encompassed by its own garden. You’ll be at the pillared entrance to the Hardcastle Crags estate with its wooded valley unfolding before you. From here you’ll have a network of walking trails that pass tumbling waterfalls, rocky streams and otherworldly rock formations that rise from the dense woodlands. There’s also a former mill at its heart which is now a visitor centre. And if you have dogs, there’s no need to leave them behind as The Lodge can cater for two pups. I’m sure they’ll love a snuggle by the log-burner after a long day of walking. The superb50 mile walking route The Calderdale Way, which circles the borough, runs closely past the Lodge. From here, the market town of Hebden Bridge is only two miles away and the city of Halifax is just 10 miles to the east. You’re also about an hours’ drive from the Yorkshire Dales which is to the north. We are pet friendly - 2 dogs are welcome to stay at The Lodge. The property boasts three large bedrooms each with an allocated shower and toilet room. Within the grounds of the house is a private fishing and boating lake, tennis court and woodland for guests to enjoy. Halifax Golf Club is a two minute walk from the cottage. A perfect location for families, walkers, fishermen, cyclists and golfers. Guests can enjoy fishing in our fully stocked 3/4 acre pond. The last 12 months have been spent emptying, cleaning and refilling our pond which is set within the grounds, just 50 metres from the Cottage. An idyllic location to relax and fish. Please note: fishing lessons for novices can be arranged at an extra cost of £25 per session with a local expert fisherman. If you enjoy a round of golf, The Halifax Golf Club is literally just around the corner from the cottage. It is a demanding 18 hole course set in the stunning Ogden Moors with breath-taking views. You can enjoy a drink and a great meal in the club house after a round and even a game of snooker! Heron and Geese reside within the grounds (depending upon the time of year), and can be studied from the vantage point of our bird-watching hut located next to the lake. Remember to bring your binoculars, or ask to borrow ours! We also have wild deer that regularly roam the grounds. Guests can enjoy freshly laid eggs daily from our family of hens!
