    Our site is a 2.5 acre level flat field with room for small campervans (as access is very tight) and about fifty pitches for tents. The site is in approx 1000 acres of woodland with a small river at one side.The Calderdale Way also runs alongside our site - a lovely walk that cuts through the woods from Sowerby Bridge to Ripponden. The site is in approx 1000 acres of woodland with a small river at one side just down an embankment. The Calderdale Way runs on the other side; a lovely walk through the woods from Sowerby Bridge to Ripponden. We have three toilets , two hot showers and a washing up sink. We have portaloo emptying facilities for caravans. Space for about 50 tents – no booking, so get there early at weekends as it is quite a popular site (with many regulars)

Situated on The Calderdale Way and only 6 miles from The Pennine Way, within 13 hectares of beautiful countryside, Jerusalem Farm has fantastic facilities, enabling disabled children and young people to enjoy holidays with their families. Jerusalem Farm worked closely with the parents and carers of disabled children and young people, developng the converted barn to ensure that the facility can be easily used by all visitors. The welcoming atmosphere, stunning scenery and accessible overnight facilities ensure that it's a great place for a relaxing break. The three bedroom accommodation has an adjacent car park with a wheelchair friendly pathway to the barn. Inside, the barn has been designed so that disabled children, young people and their families have all the equipment they need. There's a spacious, specially adapted bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a hoist which can carry people from the bed to the bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen has also been tailored for wheelchair users, with work surfaces and cooking equipment lowered in height. The large terrace is the perfect place to sit and admire the outstandng countryside, spectacular valleys, woodland birds and sometimes even deer! The facilities include: A bedroom with bunkbeds (H165xL205xW104cm) A fullt adapted bedroom with two beds and a hoist into the adapted bathroom. A double bedroom. A fully equipped kitchen. Two bathrooms, including easy to use en-suite, accessible toilet and bathroom facilities. Underfloor heating Fully equipped living room with a television, DVD player and payphone. High quality furniture throughout. Jerusalem Barn is adjacent to a Local Nature Reserve and campsite. Halifax is 7 miles away, with Eureka! The National Children's Musuem, Shibden Estate, theatres, museums and art galleries. Sowerby Bridge is 5 miles away, with a leisure centre and swimming pool. Hebden Bridge is 4miles away, with a cinema, canal cruises, Visitor Information Centre and many independent shops and restaurants. Mytholmroyd Railway Station is 3 miles away. We are Walker and Cycling friendly. We have an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Point: 1 x 7kW 32A Type 2 Mennekes, ZeroNet.

    A superb way to go walking in Calderdale - The Calderdale Way is a 50 mile (80 km) walk exploring the hills, moors and valleys of Calderdale that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

    It is an ‘up and down’ journey with few level sections. However, the higher levels provide some exceptionally fine panoramic views. The main and link routes to the valley bottom are designed so that they can be completed in short stages.

    The Calderdale Way encircles Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, following old packhorse ways across the open gritstone hillsides with sections of traditional stone causeway, passing through hillside villages and old mill towns on the banks of the River Calder.

    There are numerous link paths which connect the Calderdale Way to the valley floor. There are medieval settlements at Lumbutts and Mankinholes, and Withens Gate, where the Pennine Way crosses. A short diversion along the Pennine Way takes in the popular walk to the 100ft monument, Stoodley Pike.

    The full length of the route is 51.39 miles, with a total climb of 22 metres at a climb rate of 43 metres per mile. This makes a flat equivalent distance of 57.49 miles.

    The long period of hot weather has meant there is an increased risk of moorland fires in Calderdale. Please take care when out and about in moorlands around Calderdale and West Yorkshire. You can find more advice here. The burning of moorland is not a victimless crime. The surrounding countryside is ideal for exploring by foot; The Calderdale Way 50-mile walking route passes close by and there are many places of interest to be found within easy reach including the picturesque village of Haworth, once home to the famous Bronte sisters. Hebden Bridge itself has a rich industrial history and rapidly developed during the industrial revolution as mill owners made use of the valley sides to house their expanding workforce, giving the town its distinctive look. The town has now left its industrial past behind and is home to a unique range of shops, fine restaurants and traditional pubs. Old Cragg Hall Barn comprises of a large entrance hallway, master bedroom with king size four poster bed and en-suite shower room and two further bedrooms that can be configured as twin or super king size rooms. There is also a house bathroom with bath/shower. The large open plan living space is situated on the first floor, with a full glazed wall making the most of the fabulous views across Cragg Vale valley. This floor contains a well equipped kitchen, dining area and stylish and elegant living area with wood burning stove, ideal for those cosy evenings in. Outside there is a large private patio area with tables, chairs and a barbecue with parking available for several cars. Packhorse Stables boasts outstanding views across the unspoilt Colden Valley, yet is only a 30 minute woodland walk to the historic market town of Hebden Bridge which offers an eclectic selection of amenities. The front stable-door opens into a large open plan living/dining area. The living area comprises one sofa (can be converted to a bed), comfy chair, wood burning stove, underfloor heating, wall-mounted flat screen TV with free-view and DVD player. The Dining area has a wooden table, bookcase with a wide range of books and tourist information, stereo CD and ipod docking station. Local craftsmen have been used to supply the furnishings and fittings where possible and most is available to buy in Hebden Bridge. Fully- fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave, large fridge/freezer, slow cooker, extensive cookware and crockery. Two large windows, one offering beautiful views of the garden and the second overlooking the front patio. Wet-room to the rear of the property with heated towel rail, luxury walk in shower and underfloor heating. Large centrally heated bedroom with fitted carpet, quality wooden furniture, super-kingsize bed and several windows with far reaching views of the valley and gardens. Moving to the outside of the cottage there is a south-facing patio at the front with table and chairs, ideal for al-fresco dining. To the rear there is another large patio which has the hot-tub – perfect for gazing at the stars at night or taking in the sights of the valley during the day. Wood-store and BBQ where bikes can also be kept under cover. Large garden with pond and additional seating area, which can be illuminated at night. Wild pheasants love to be fed here and we have two resident Little owls and woodpeckers. Parking for 2 cars on a private drive, access to both front and back doors can be reached avoiding steps. Bedlinen, towels, gas, electricity and starter pack for woodburner all included in the price. We can offer champagne/evening platters/chocolates on arrival….perfect for anniversaries/birthdays and we are very popular for honeymoon couples….please ask when booking
