    You can eat in sat at our indoor or outdoor seating area, or takeaway to sit in the park (please dispose of any rubbish considerately).

    We serve teas, coffees and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, chocolates, crisps and soups.

    Dogs are welcome in our outdoor seating area, so do stop off for a drink and some cake the next time you're walking your pooch.

    Children's Jungle Parties are available at the nearby Manor Heath Jungle Experience. We provide lunch boxes with a sandwich, yoghurt, piece of fruit and a drink and the kids can enjoy their lunch in an area of the Jungle Experience exclusively dedicated to your party. (Minimum of 12 children, aged 10 years and under, with a minimum of 2 adults. Lunch Boxes £3.50 each. 50% deposit required. Bring your own cake and party bags.)

    Opening Hours for the cafe are seasonal. In the summer months we're open 7 days a week 9.30am - 4pm. Holdsworth House Hotel and renowned award-winning independent publisher Bluemoose Books of Hebden bridge have teamed up to offer an exciting new Creative Writing Retreat in 2020. The Bluemoose Writing School, led by Kevin and Hetha Duffy, is running the two-night, three-day course, which is open to writers of all abilities. On the course, budding writers will reach a greater depth of creative writing, learn how to improve their skills and adopt techniques of professional writers, under the guidance of professional editors and authors, as well as hearing from Bluemoose about the publishing process. There are up to 10 places available on the writing course, which runs 4-6 May 2020 from £310 per person. Bluemoose Books decided to team up with Jacobean manor Holdsworth House as the venue because of its luxurious and peaceful surroundings, which are conducive to aiding writers’ creativity, and for its connections to West Yorkshire’s rich literary past and present With sessions by writer, editor and lecturer Leonora Rustamova and author Clara Barley, the course promises to engage and develop writers’ creative strengths. The break includes two nights’ accommodation, breakfast and dinner or afternoon tea at Holdsworth House – a retreat that anyone would enjoy! Holdsworth House has seen its share of celebrity guests over the last 50 years whilst in the caring hands of the Pearson family. Now the Jacobean manor is also becoming well known for its role as a TV set. In recent times the team has welcomed film crews from all over the UK, including the BAFTA-winning crew from Last Tango in Halifax, screened on the BBC. Holdsworth House was lucky to be featured in the final three episodes of series two, when Caroline and Kate escaped for a romantic break at ‘a luxury hotel’. The manor was also the setting for Celia’s hen party and for the series finale wedding of Alan and Celia. We are located less than a hundred metres from the route of The Calderdale Way, a 50 mile walking route which circles the borough.

    Following a multi-million pound transformation project, Britain's magnificent and last surviving cloth hall is ready to welcome visitors again.

    The Grade I listed structure has stood at the heart of Halifax since 1779 and has now re-opened as a world class cultural, heritage and leisure destination.

    The huge open-air courtyard is surrounded by a mix of independent bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops. The stories of Georgian Halifax are told in the specially created exhibition spaces, while the central courtyard plays host to a year-round events programme of music, dance, film and spectacle for up to 7,500 people at a time.
