    A new exhibition capturing a century of Brighouse, West Yorkshire on canvas and camera, featuring paintings and photographs from Calderdale Museums’ collections, including works by local Brighouse artists Miles Sharp and Stanley Chapman. These works are displayed alongside newly produced photographs by the Halifax Photographic Society, who have recreated scenes from historic artworks of Brighouse to bring up to date the story of everyday life and ongoing change in the town. This exhibition runs from Saturday 19th October 2019 until Monday 20th April 2020 .     Our excellent and varied resident singers are joined by a special guest each month who performs a set in each half of the evening.

    English Barn Dances are easy, enjoyable and excellent exercise; the dance caller will talk you through the moves before and during the dance and help is usually to hand from our helpful regulars.

    Admission costs £9 for adults, children 12 years and under are free (as long as they are accompanied by an adult) and anyone over 13 years in full-time education is £5.
