The guesthouse is 150 yards from the main road but close to local transport, bus and train, and local facilities.     The Cottage is part of a traditional stone farmhouse dating back to 1692. It is a listed building with some historical and architectural interest, lying in the Pennine hills between Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. Many walks can be made from the cottage. The Pennine and Calderdale Ways, on which lies Stoodley Pike, traverse the ridge of hills behind the property and the Rochdale/Leeds Canal with towpath walks runs through the valley beneath. Todmorden with its shops and market is two miles away and can be reached by bus. Hebden Bridge, Howarth and the Bronte country, the Worth Valley Steam Railway, Halifax with the Piece Hall, the Eureka Museum and theatres are all within easy reach.

    Our site is a 2.5 acre level flat field with room for small campervans (as access is very tight) and about fifty pitches for tents. The site is in approx 1000 acres of woodland with a small river at one side.The Calderdale Way also runs alongside our site - a lovely walk that cuts through the woods from Sowerby Bridge to Ripponden. The site is in approx 1000 acres of woodland with a small river at one side just down an embankment. The Calderdale Way runs on the other side; a lovely walk through the woods from Sowerby Bridge to Ripponden. We have three toilets , two hot showers and a washing up sink. We have portaloo emptying facilities for caravans. Space for about 50 tents – no booking, so get there early at weekends as it is quite a popular site (with many regulars)

    A warm welcome awaits at our beautiful character cottage. The cottage is set back from the main road with a gate off the footpath and a grass verge in front. If you're on public transport you'll love the fact that you can see all the way up Burnley Road and can spot the bus on its way down so there's no hanging about at the bus stop - which is located only a few meters from your front door so you can step outside just as it comes! The front door leads into a vestibule and then into the main living area. The living room is spacious with comfy seating and a good sized TV. An ideal space to kick off your shoes and relax in front of the fire. The under stairs cupboard is accessed from the living room and here you'll find a place to store your coats (as well as the vac, fire extinguisher and laundry equipment etc). The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, built in double oven, microwave, separate fridge and freezer and a washing machine. There's miles of worktop space and storage so if you're here for a longer stay you can make it your home and get stuck into some cooking! The back door leads straight onto a very pleasant 'open back' which means there are no fences between you and the neighbours. This was how it used to be and you'll see the out buildings where the toilet and coal stores were. It's a good place to sit outside on a sunny day. Rodney and Jean live next door and have done for the past few decades so feel free to have a chat and find out more local info. The stairs come off the kitchen and directly at the top of the stairs is the double bedroom. We want you to have everything you need and be comfortable. The mattress is thick and comfy and the curtains have blackout lining. We've also included coat hangers and a hairdryer. The single room also benefits from a quality mattress. Its spacious too - with an area for the bed and then fitted wardrobes and a dressing table at the other end. If you need the space for an office this works well. After all your Yorkshire escapades you'll want a proper shower and this one won't disappoint. A huge double shower is fed from the combi boiler, giving you unlimited hot water. The shower room is fully tiled with a good sized sink and modern loo (no, we don't make you use the outside one!) FREE on street parking is available.
