    The award-winning International Village Market will be returning to Halifax again with traders from around the globe set up along Corn Market, Russel Street & Southgate from 25th to 28th April and 31st October to 3rd November 2019. Just some of the tasty treats which will be drawing in visitors include Greek delicacy including Gyros, Souvlaki, and Greek pies, a Traditional German Schwenkgrill selling Bratwurst and Currywurst, mouth-watering French crepes and Galettes, Catalan cuisine Tapas and Paella; Pofitjes, the famous Dutch mini pancakes and even Ostrich and Kangaroo burgers so hop along and try some of the great street foods on offer. Wander amongst the wonderful aromas, sights and sounds of a true International Market. As well as International street food there will be some great fresh foods on sale including olives, baklava, dried fruit and nuts. If you're after something sweet, the French Patisserie is a must, offering the finest pastries that are perfect as a treat - after all the burgers, sausages, pancakes, ice cream and freshly baked Macaroons…. But it’s not all about food as we have some great craft and gift stalls including some fantastic jewellery made from recycled silver cutlery; South American jewellery and knitwear, handmade amber, crystal and gemstone jewellery and of course the famous Dutch Market Garden where you can wander through a huge collection of shrubs, bulbs, beautiful plants and trees with some great garden ornaments.     Hebden Bridge Piano Festival - One magical weekend of piano music each April, in the heart of this beautiful Yorkshire town The Festival takes place at Hebden Bridge Town Hall and is a mix of free and paid events. Each year, over the three days, we present afternoon and evening concerts, plus lunchtime recitals, given by performers of national and international renown. It is also important to us to showcase talented local amateur pianists and to put on events aimed at people of all ages, including an annual children’s concert presented by one of our headline artists.

    10am FREE The Piece Hall is hosting its first ever Wellness & Community Festival this April 27th and 28th, helping the local community get active and creative, as well as offering much-needed support services. The Courtyard will host four different ‘zones’ for you to explore; Active, Creative, Support and Wellbeing. From fitness fanatics to first timers, if you're looking to get moving you can try your hand at a whole host of sports including all-adapted cycling, kurling, dance, tai chi, wheelchair basketball and yoga, and also pick up some tips from Sport For Alland Threeways Sports Centre. If you have a creative flair, you can try your hand at mindful colouring and stone carving, amongst other calming artistic activities. An array of Support services will be on offer across the courtyard from charities Basement Recovery Project, Healthy Minds and Samaritans, and there will be food pop-ups and music from community choirs and local musicians.
