Forming part of an old chapel, dating back to 1853, our beautifully restored one-bedroom cottage sits in the traditional Pennine village of Midgley.

Our location in Yorkshire is teaming with places to explore. From the canal and riverside walks to the picturesque and historical Yorkshire towns and villages. With such a cultural, and historic landscape on your doorstep you can understand why the ‘filmed here’ credits include many big-name productions including “Happy Valley” and “Gentleman Jack.”

End your days of adventure by returning home to enjoy the traditional features of such an impressive old building with high ceilings and large windows giving views over the breath-taking countryside. Chapel Cottage boasts quality accommodation on all levels.

Enjoy a cosy time in front of the traditional wood burner or cook up a feast in the modern fully equipped kitchen all the while enjoying the views. The cottage is a home from home, presented with a traditional but clean and modern feel.

Come through your own private entrance and step into the lounge area where you will find a stunning fireplace with log burning stove and comfy seating to enjoy the fire. This traditional light and spacious room has all the mod cons you require: Wi-Fi, Alexa, a flat screen smart TV with access to Netflix, and a selection of books and board games to keep you busy.

The modern and fully equipped kitchen includes fridge, fan oven, induction hob, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. We provide a welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, and milk to get you started. Kitchen essentials are provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please notify us beforehand.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed with high quality mattress and cotton bed linen. The views from the bedroom and bathroom across to Stoodley Pike are spectacular. The bathroom includes a large walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries are provided.

With this breath-taking landscape on your doorstep, and Haworth, the home of the Bronte sisters only a short drive away, you can understand the inspiration for the sister’s iconic novels Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre.
