Riverview Bed and Breakfast is a 200 year old stone cottage, perched on the side of a valley leading to the National Trust’s famous Hardcastle Crags. It enjoys delightful views of Hebden Water, the stepped rooftops, and the wooded hills beyond that characterise this most southerly part of the Yorkshire Dales. We are family and dog friendly.
Riverview offers two double rooms:
The Green Room – A delightful vaulted and beamed bedroom with lovely views over the river and Hardcastle Crags valley at the front, and of the hamlet of Hollins to the side. In addition to your hostess tray, there is an option to have a continental breakfast served in The Green Room.
Birchview – A cosy double bedroom with feature exposed stone walls. Birchview has panoramic views down to the river, to the mill-workers cottages and wooded hills beyond that fringe the start of Hardcastle Crags valley.
In addition to the two delightful bedrooms, guests can enjoy breakfast in a spacious, light, timber floored dining room that overlooks the valley, and boasts woodpeckers, nuthatches and long-tailed tits as regular visitors to the feeder and bird table directly outside the windows.
Hebden Bridge town centre is a ten minute walk down the hillside where you can enjoy a vibrant and eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries, a theatre and the historic picture house. Excellent rail and road links make this a wonderful base from which to explore Yorkshire’s finest cities and countryside.
We look forward to welcoming you to Riverview and hope you enjoy your stay in this unique corner of Yorkshire.
