Jackie Hagan; The Aww Factor

6th Apr 2020

7pm-9pm

Jackie Hagan is a council estate queer amputee, a poet, stand up comedian, playwright and theatre maker. She will be performing her brand new show The Aww Factor.

A charming, poignant  and hilarious hour of storytelling by a multi award winning playwright and comedian who likes people who smell of pastie.

A decade ago Jackie performed a piece regularly about her bisexuality, it was studied at universities and cited in journals and even said at people’s weddings. However in the light of the 2010’s it is clearly detrimentally binary, Jackie responds to her old piece and delves into the view that the prefix bi means 2 means just two genders. Should she choose to identify as pansexual now? And why do people say 'aw' at her when she clearly isn't a little fluffy duck?

Contains adult themes.  Age 14+

Price: £7/ £5 passport to leisure

Book online or in or in person at Central library
