This September, Calderdale is serving up something truly delicious — the brand‑new Calderdale Festival of Food, running from Monday 7th to Sunday 20th September!

From Halifax to Hebden Bridge, Brighouse to Todmorden, you’ll discover two weeks of farm‑to‑fork experiences, foodie workshops, tasting tours, special menus, and hands‑on activities, that celebrate everything fresh, local, and distinctly Calderdale.

 

What’s on the menu?

Expect a feast of locally produced events, including:

  • Markets brimming with local produce, and food tours taking you on culinary journeys around Calderdale
  • Good company and connections over fresh, flavoursome food at Antonia’s Supper Club in Hebden Bridge
  • Growing workshops at family-run farms on windswept hillsides, such as Up Plant Farm in Blackshaw Head
  • Learn about ethical farming practices with Porcus, and enjoy fine dining nights at Incredible Farm in Todmorden
  • Tours by Incredible Edible’s beacon project in Todmorden, where the internationally renowned growing project first began
  • South Asian cooking classes at The Outback Kitchen in Halifax, plus an insight into beekeeping from the Outback’s expert volunteers
  • Taste your way around Calderdale with coffee roasting talks, gin distillery tours, and brewery experiences, and enjoy discounts at restaurants across Calderdale, offering specially curated menus celebrating local provenance
