Commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War with this free 1940s-themed fun day for all the family. There will be military displays and re-enactors to enjoy, as well as live 1940s music, swing dance workshops, a fashion show, community stalls and food. Children can have a go at our special activity trail and 1940s themed crafts, as well as tackle a WW2 assault course! Period dress is encouraged.
There will be free parking at Dean Clough and a regular shuttle bus to the museum, as well as limited blue badge parking at the museum itself.
This event is kindly funded by Museums Development North and the Arts Council as part of the national V80 funding programme. Our partners are Halifax Opportunities Trust and the Kohima Museum.
Bankfield Museum is open 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday (Closed Sunday and Monday)
