The play follows the story of Fran and Bob Price and their four children, over a single year. Each new season contains a crisis, a turning point, tough choices, and the fall-out from those choices.
At the start of the play, the youngest child, Rosie, asks ‘what do I know to be true?’ She is full of doubts, but by the end of the play she has learnt a lot about the world around her. Whilst the children become more confident of their convictions, the parents become less sure.
Things I Know to be True is a deeply intimate drama about family life and conflicts, featuring physical theatre choreography, in the style of Frantic Assembly, to emphasise the emotional connection between the characters.
