The April talk in the series of Calderdale Industrial Museum Association talks will be given by Corinne McDonald and features the Picker Making Industry in and around Todmorden. In 1925 Todmorden was making more pickers than any other town in England. How and why did this come about?
All are welcome. Free entry to members of Calderdale Industrial Museum Association, £4 to visitors. Tea/coffee/biscuits will be available for a small donation.
Calderdale Industrial Museum is Open Saturdays 10am – 4pm and also Thursdays in the School Holidays
Entrance fee: £5 per adult. Concessions £4. accompanied children enter free. We also offer an Annual Pass for £12 per adult that gives unlimited admission to the museum for 12 months.
