Join David Glover as he tells the story of Henry Edmunds, the Halifax native who introduced Rolls to Royce – and a remarkable character in his own right.
A British pioneer of the motorcar, Edmunds patented many devices and was fascinated by the emerging use of electric light and the telephone. Travelling to the USA on several occasions, he met Edison and Bell and brought back plans for the Graphophone (which was later used to record the voice of Queen Victoria).
