Saturday mornings, 10.30-12.30
October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, November 9th, 16th
In this six-week creative writing course with Gaia Holmes, we’ll tap into the fact, fiction and folklore of Autumn, the magical part of the year that the poet, Keats, described as ‘the season of mists’. We’ll explore things such as bioluminescence, whiffling rooks, scrumping and foraging, the phenomenon of fox fire and glowing fungi, harvest moons, chestnuts and the atmospheric wood smoke and witchery of October and November, and we’ll use these subjects as the inspiration for our own poetry and prose.
