Rita, Sue and Bob Too is a twisted, dark and hilarious comedy drama that tells the story of Rita and Sue, two working class girls from a rundown Bradford council estate who are about to finish their final year at school. In their spare time, they earn money babysitting for married couple Bob and Michelle. Behind Michelle’s back, Bob embarks on an affair with both Rita and Sue, who are both hungry for adult adventure. It is only a matter of time before Michelle and Sue’s parents finds out and when they do sparks most definitely fly!

Andrea Dunbar’s semi-autobiographical work is a funny, touching and vibrant play, full of wicked humour and is a stark snapshot of 1980s northern working-class life, under an increasingly repressive Tory government. In 1986, the play was adapted into a film of the same name, and attracted a cult following due to its intimate portrayal of ordinary people’s lives.

Diva Productions are proud to bring back their successful 2022 Yorkshire Tour which was described to have “the heart the size of Yorkshire”, to National audiences this year.

The Relaxed Performance (Sunday 5 January at 10:30am) is designed to be welcoming to everyone and especially to adults and children who may feel unable to access theatre performances for a variety of reasons, for example, parents/carers with noisy infants, people who need or want to move around and/or vocalise during the performance, people with dementia, autism or with other complex access or inclusion needs. Tickets still available, please contact the box office on 01422 351158 to book tickets for the relaxed performance so that we can ensure that you get the best seats for your requirements.

Wheelchair access

Following recent improvements to the stalls seating area, we now offer easier access and better viewing locations for wheelchair users. So you can be assured of a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we have level access to the stalls from Commercial Street and provide two accessible toilets on the stalls level.

Hearing Impaired

The Victoria Theatre has an induction loop for hearing aid users in the auditorium and Box Office.
Additionally the Victoria Theatre now offers an infra-red audio system allowing customers in the Stalls and The Circle and to individually adjust the volume of the performance.

Visual Impairments

We now offer versions of our seasonal brochure in large print. Please contact the box office to request copies to be sent to you.
Guide dogs are welcome and we will be pleased to provide a bowl of water on request.
