Part of the South Asian Heritage Festival
Fox & Windmill is the UK’s first independent book publishing company for British South Asian writers. Since establishing in 2021, bringing new and aspiring writers to the forefront of UK publishing has been their mission. They are dedicated to bridging the gap in the industry for writers from underrepresented backgrounds and sharing their unique stories and perspectives.
This first publication is an anthology of short stories and poetry, debuting fifteen writers from British South Asian backgrounds. The writing has been described by Kia Abdullah, “An immersive collection of wry, absorbing, surprising stories about the human condition. Lust, loss, grief and jealousy mix with themes of family, responsibility and identity, proving that there’s no such thing as the singular South-Asian experience.”
We are delighted to bring founders HABIBA DESAI and SARA RAZZAQ from Fox and Windmill to the Festival accompanied by five contributors to this wonderful new anthology.
