Pennine Spring Music Festival 2022

Event description

Set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside that inspired the Bronte sisters and Ted Hughes, the Pennine Spring Music Festival brings together instrumentalists and singers from all over Britain for a week of convivial music-making and performing.

2022 Programme:

Tuesday 31st May

Beethoven – Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage

Vaughan Williams – The Wasps Suite

Mendelssohn – Symphony No. 3


Thursday 2nd June

Ensemble for 4 horns (for our orchestral horn section)

Vocal duets (for a duo from the choir)

Wind quintet (for winds from the orchestra)

Finzi – In Terra Pax (for choir and baritone solo)

Solo spots for baritone and piano soloists


Saturday 4th June

Rutter – Gloria (for choir and bass)

Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 3

Shostakovich – Symphony No. 1

All concerts start at 7.30pm in the St. Thomas Church, Heptonstall.

Participants who join Pennine Spring Music pay a fee of £100 for the full week or part week pro rata.
