Join watercolour artist Jane Austin for a full-day workshop painting the detailed head and body of a hawk. Learn how to work with layers of colour over fine detail with masking fluid to build the body of feathers, using different sizes of brush and implement as needed.
Jane Austin has been a professional artist for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally, with many solo exhibitions at All Souls’ Church. Her work can be seen currently at Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, the Halifax Minster, Dean Clough and the Piece Hall.
Bring along your own paint, paper brushes and other equipment that you have if you wish though supplies will be available for those without, as well as source material. The artist uses Bockingford NOT 250lbs 535gsmand Windsor & Newton Cotman paints.

The workshop takes place upstairs with no lift access.
Minimum age 12.
Space is limited to 10 people. Tea & Coffee will be provided.
Jane will be carrying out a demonstration of painting feathers at Bankfield Museum on Saturday 13th January 1.00-3.00pm.
