Part of the South Asian Heritage Festival

Hussnain Hanif is one of the UK’s leading nasheed artists, and is much sought-after in educational work, training ground-breaking nasheed choirs in London, Lancashire and Yorkshire. He is also a presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire.

The morning workshop is an opportunity for all young people to learn and join in with nasheeds in various languages and in a variety of styles. The performance in the afternoon is a chance for everyone to hear and be inspired by our talented young people in the newly formed Calderdale Nasheed Choir.

Daniel Bath is Musical Director of Music for the Many and has spent much of his career studying South Asian music and training young people in singing and playing South Asian music.
