Midgley Open Gardens

Price: £5

Event description

The villagers of Midgley, near Hebden Bridge, are opening their hidden gardens to visitors for the weekend of June 15th and 16th. 17 gardens, ranging from large secluded woodlands to intimate courtyards, will be displaying a variety of styles from traditional to the most contemporary. Many have stunning views of the Calder Valley, and all are adapted to the challenges of gardening on an airy Pennine hillside. This popular biennial event has become a firm fixture in the local gardening calendar, attracting visitors from all over Yorkshire and beyond.

Two art and craft studios will be opening their doors to visitors too.

Home made refreshments and lunches will be available at various gardens, and at Midgley Community Room. Plant sales also available at some gardens.

The Gardens and Studios are open from 11am to 4pm on both days. Tickets cost £5.00 per person and are available from Midgley shop in advance, or from selected gardens on the weekend. Accompanied children are free. Dogs on leads welcome, except in the Community Room.
