Event description
This major exhibition by international British artist, Judy Sale, will be full of surprises. The works in this exhibition commemorate autobiographically the unusual events of her life, each painting obliquely referring to a particular time or a place.
Throughout Judy’s adult life she has harboured a physical condition that can take away her spoken voice for months at a time. There is no cure, but it has been 10 months now that she has been struggling to speak again. This makes her mark-making in her artwork all the more poignant – it became an alternative voice with which to communicate with the world as a woman artist.
When: Saturday 22nd June (opening event, 12:00 – 14:00) to Sunday 11th August, 10:00 – 16:00
