The story of the company which became the world’s largest carpet manufacturer, told in pictures. From humble beginnings, a small business became a world-beater, through the shrewdness of three 19th Century Halifax businessman, John, Joseph and Francis Crossley. One of the town’s most respected employers, the firm’s closure in 1982 was a huge shock to the area.
