Multi award winning film composer and jazz musician John Altman brings his all-star quartet to the Piece Hall for an evening of music and anecdotes.
Responsible for classic sequences in Monty Python’s Life of Brian, two James Bond films, and Titanic, John played saxophone with artists as varied as Little Richard, Prince, Van Morrison and Bob Marley, worked alongside Michael Jackson, George Michael, Tina Turner, Barry White, Diana Ross and Simple Minds to name just a few, and also produced Aled Jones’ Christmas smash hit Walking in the Air!
Playing old and new music relating to his career, he will intersperse fascinating stories of a life in showbusiness which began with growing up around Frank Sinatra, Nat Cole, Dean Martin and Judy Garland, this is a night not to be missed.
