IOU Festive Workshop
Event description
Join us at the IOU Studio for a relaxed and creative workshop – playing with geometric structures using willow and lights to create spectacular illuminated ‘Wonky Stars’
Enjoy some seasonal snacks and drinks and then take home your star -with festive fairy lights included
No experience needed -there is no wrong way to do it, all stars will shine brightly together !

The workshop is led by Calderdale artist Sue Walpole, well known for her work with Handmade Productions and lantern installations across the UK and Europe.
Sue is one of four artists recently commissioned for a funded place on IOU’s Space Time Tools Advice Artist Development Programme in the lead up to Calderdale 2024 Year of Culture.
Her project at IOU will explore new ways of working with lanterns structures in combination with projected light and imagery.
