Introduction to Silk Painting Full Day Workshop
Event description
10am – 3.15pm
Come and try your hand at silk painting at The Fabbadashery, 10-12 Clare Road, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 2HX. Please telephone 01422 647574 to book. Places are limited.
Such a fun workshop with mesmerizing effects, vibrant paints and sometimes rather unexpected results!
During this workshop you will:
Experiment with silk paints and learn how to create different effects;
learn how to make resist lines
learn how to prepare your silk items for painting;
paint some greeting cards;
paint a silk square and create an origami gift box;
paint the design you created.
All materials will be provided for you to complete lots of lovely items to take home. Aprons for your use at the workshop will also be provided, though do bring your own if you prefer. You will be working with paints designed to dye fabric, so “doesn’t matter clothes” are recommended.
Refreshments – tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are also included in the price.
The cost of this workshop is £85.00.
