Somerset House, Halifax, now ALIBI Bar, was completed in 1766, but that was not its original name; and it was then larger than today. Who designed it, and which family had it built? Who were the people who originally lived there in 1766? Who was the House’s royal visitor? And what was the story of Rawsons’ Bank, patronised by Anne Lister? Story continued down to today.
