DESCRIPTION:1pm \n\n\n\nHalifax Comedy Festival 2024 ‘On Tour’ presents Comedy in The Victoria Theatre’s Green Room Bar. \nFeaturing Dave Williams. \nA half-day comedy workshop on turning your ideas and stories into comedy gold. Learn the basics of joke writing and stagecraft from professional stand-up comedian Dave Williams. \nAbout the comedian… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDave Williams is resident tutor at the Frog & Bucket Manchester comedy school which has been running for over 30 years. Dave has been a professional comedian since 1998. He is a regular MC and act at the Frog\, Comedy Store and at gigs throughout the UK. \nHe has gigged worldwide and performed 3 solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. Before going full-time as a comic\, Dave ran training courses on a wide range of subjects including presentation skills. This special one off session for Halifax Comedy Festival will take place on Sunday 29th September 1pm – 5pm. \nTopics will include: \n•              Microphone and stage technique. \n•              Writing and structuring material. \n•              Dealing with a range of audiences. \n•              Self-promotion and getting gigs. \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event takes place in the Victoria Theatre Green Room Bar. \nPlease note there is no wheelchair access to the Green Room Bar and circle level at the Victoria Theatre. But there is an alternative entrance with fewer steps for people with severe mobility issues – please inform the box office at the time of booking if you would like to use the alternative entrance.
