Historical Presentation by David Glover – The Earliest images of Halifax

A kaleidoscope of grand old prints depicting our “good old town” long ago. Beginning with 17th Century images of the Gibbet, David will move on to a Halifax panorama engraved before the Piece Hall was built, and show images of The Piece Hall. Rare and unusual images are included, and he will draw on artistic work by J Horner, J Rideal Smith, and H R Oddy. Finally, a series of early photos of the town. A real feast for the eyes if you love local history.
